Thousands of people gathered yesterday in Mülheim, Cologne during Birlikte Festival (ed. – Turkish word for “Together”) to protest against racism and to celebrate diversity and multiculturalism. Here, more than 11 years ago, a nail bomb exploded on the street and injured 22 people. Several of the victims were treated as the suspects of organizing the bomb attack. Only seven years later it was found out that the neo-Nazis were behind the attack.

Music, delicious food, theatre, dance, readings, forums, discussions, lots of multicoolties around and much much more offered Birlikte this year. If you were not there yesterday 😕 , have a look at our gallery and mark your calendar for the next year! We, multicoolty, were and will definitely be there to stand for tolerance, diversity and a peaceful multicultural living together 😉
