Let’s get acquainted! My name’s Anastasia. I was born in Russia and live there. I’m a teacher of foreign languages. I had a practice as a simultaneous interpreter with some Spaniards in Russia. I’m a bookworm and an oriental dancing lover. 😉
I began studying English in order to find out what it was like to be an interpreter/translator and to be able to read “GONE with the WIND” in the original!!!
Why do you want to collaborate with Multicoolty Russia?
Well, I’m really interested in international relationship while solving some problems. Different people have their own outlook on problems and on life. It’s always interesting to listen to other peoples’ opinions. And it’s exciting to teach those children who speak not only Russian but also, for example, Armenian at home. I personally believe that this project can help me to get new knowledge about different people from all over the world, so that I will be able to tell my children and friends something really exciting and unusual.
Do you think Russia is a multicultural society?
We used to say that America is a “melting pot” 😉 It’s also true about Russia! There are a great number of nationalities in my country: Chechen, Armenians, Uzbeks, Chinese and many others. And each of them has their own story to share. Somebody succeeded in their lives, others not too much. But they have something in common. They all live in one country. Oh, yes! Russia is a multicultural place.
