I had a choice: either I come study in Germany or go to Scotland. I decided to come to Germany, because my German was not that good and I wanted to improve it talking to native speakers.
Over here I have met so many new people from different countries, with different characters and totally different views on life. This changes a person a lot. I have somehow started to revalue my life principles. I have really changed a lot.
I come from a relatively provincial Russian town. Living there, it seemed that there is no world around. You might think of travelling: going to Moscow or maybe to St. Petersburg, but that is about it. In a way, there are no other options. Of course, the possibilities are there, but it is difficult…
Over here, I realized that there are no limits. Of course, there are borders, but if you try hard then you could, for example, go study Spanish in Spain, or make an internship in UK, or find some American friends and go visit them. Here you see that the world is actually small enough. So far I have lived only in Russia and Germany, but I really want to go to other places as well.

Agree. Once living in Germany the world seems smaller and easier to reach…
