My name is Jill DiGiovanni and I grew up in Chippawa, Canada, listening to the roar of Niagara Falls in the background and dreaming of being happily swept away to yet undiscovered places. In my 30’s, my dreams came true when I completed my Chef Certification in Classic Cuisine. After working at hotels and restaurants I made a switch and began touring the ocean by cooking “on the boats” for large crews. As the Chef on board, I travelled to different countries and experienced different cultures.

After many years I decided to find my land legs and opened a catering and private chef company onshore in Ontario, Canada, where I also developed a line of gourmet food products. The product line won many awards and became so popular that demand soon exceeded supply. I decided against mass-producing my product because it compromised my philosophy to make real food with no additives. Fortunately, an interested buyer purchased my business and I packed my bags once more and moved to the US with my new husband. Several years later, my husband was transferred with his work to Berlin, Germany.

Over the years, I have transitioned my life-long passion of cooking into a successful business abroad: CHEFinBERLIN. My business in Germany now offers group and private cooking classes and will soon be offering a weekly video subscription with step-by-step instructions on how to cook meals in 30 minutes or less.  My food is entirely whole-foods, plant-based and I follow the principles of the Starch Solution using no added oils to my food.  I also give nutritional counseling to those who want to make a switch to plant-based foods.

It’s a delicious way to live!
